I hired Jon Hogelin (Salcido Law Firm) to register and modify a CA custody order in Utah, paying a $5,000 retainer. For over a year, my case saw zero progress. The only filing was factually wrong and rejected by the court. Jon never told me I needed certified copies—an essential step. He repeatedly claimed documents were filed when they weren’t. Communication was terrible, yet I was billed for calls and reviews. When I demanded a refund, the firm sent a check that bounced, causing more financial issues. I still haven’t been fully refunded. I’ve filed a bar complaint. Avoid Jon Hogelin at all costs.
